Clean Car Update
As you're aware Clean Car fees came into effect on 1st April. This update allows you to retrieve the fee/rebate data and store it for each vehicle. You can also now add the Clean Car fee charge to a sale. In addition, Clean Car information can be displayed on CIN cards, Summary Sheets, reports, in website exports and also in other appropriate locations.

IMPORTANT: Within 24 hours of upgrading to this version of Motorcentral DMS, the system will automatically retrieve (one-time only) the Clean Car data for all your 'unsold' vehicles. ie. You will not need to manually update your vehicles this one-time after installation, but please allow up to 24 hours for the data to flow through.
Please note: if you have custom versions of any reports including Consumer Information Notices, Vehicle Summary Sheets & VOSA's they may not automatically update to include the new Clean Car fee/rebate information. Please contact us if this applies to you.

SMS & Email text libraries + wildcards added
Have an SMS or email message you send often to customers? Now you can add these to your SMS and/or email libraries for quick retrieval, saving you have to re-type them out each time. You can also insert wildcards to make your messages more dynamic.
To access, simply click the mobile phone or email button and you'll note two new buttons next to the message field. Click 'Text Library' and add the message you'd like to store in your library including any dynamic wildcards.
Next time you're ready to use that message, go into your text library again and double-click the entry you'd like to insert. If you're using wildcards you'll note a preview now shows directly under the SMS message or click the 'Preview' button if you want to preview it for emails.

Automatic 'Rego Plate' notification to customers
Using the new SMS and email text library features, we've now included an easy way to message your customers that their new vehicle has been registered (including advising the Plate No. it's been given).

You'll note next to the Registration Plate No. field in the vehicle screen now, new SMS and email buttons. Clicking these will automatically draft an SMS or email from your text library regarding the vehicle being registered.
We've started you off with a generic message but if you'd like to edit this you can find the SMS version under Tools > Lookups > Vehicle... > All vehicles > SMS Text and the email version under CRM > Emails. In both cases you need to edit the item labelled 'Vehicle Registration Information'.

Other features in this release
- Protecta insurance policies can now be batched together as one workflow transaction which means only one digital disclosure for your customer to sign.
- Duplicate contact detection. Will now warn you if a contact record already exists that has the same email address or phone number you are attempting to enter.
- Sold (In Progress)' vehicles now included in duplicate vehicle detection - previously ignored.
- Bank account information now recorded in dealership settings and also added as a wildcard. Using wildcard allows different dealership bank account information to be displayed on reports like Account Statement (Account displayed = Customer's account owner's dealership), Sale Invoice (Account displayed = Sale Invoice's dealership), Vehicle Offer and Sale Agreement (Account displayed = Sale's dealership), Wholesale Invoice (Account displayed = Sale's dealership).
- Issue where Purchaser and Vehicle information was not displaying on Wholesale Invoice when initiated from Customer window now resolved.
