The Need A Car website has been created by the team here at Motorcentral to assist the dealer industry in showcasing the benefits and ease of buying cars from registered dealers. As such there are a number of features for dealers of the Need A Car website, that are managed from your Motorcentral DMS. These include:

Highlighting Vehicles

Need A Car allows you to highlight your vehicle listings to give them more prominence and more visibility when compared to standard vehicle listings. 

To select a vehicle to highlight:

1. Open the vehicle in Motorcentral
2. Navigate to the Export tab
3. Under the Need A Car section select the 'Highlight this Vehicle' option
4. Click Save & Close
5. Repeat Steps 1 thru 4 for each vehicle you wish to highlight

Once you have selected all the vehicles you wish to highlight export your vehicles as per normal.

Please Note: You must nominate an amount of vehicles you wish to highlight on the Need A Car website with the Need A Car team prior to exporting. If you export more vehicles than the amount nominated, those vehicles that are newest (by purchase date) will be listed first. If you export less, the Need A Car team will automatically highlight other vehicles that you have uploaded, until you 'fill' your nominated amount of highlights.

Dealer Offers

Need A Car allows you to add time-sensitive offers on vehicles to create urgency from viewers to purchase those vehicles. For example, you could offer a free fitted towbar on a vehicle, if the offer is claimed and the vehicle purchased within the next seven days.

To add a dealer offer to a vehicle:

1. Open the vehicle in Motorcentral
2. Navigate to the Export tab
3. Under the Vehicle Offer section select the 'Display an offer on this vehicle' option
4. Add the date the offer will expire. The offer will end at midnight on that day
5. Add the Offer Text which describes the offer. There is an Offer Text Library available also where you can quickly add common offers you might have
6. Click Save & Close
7. Repeat Steps 1 thru 6 for each vehicle you wish to highlight

Once you have selected all the vehicles you wish to highlight export your vehicles as per normal.
