Resetting failed login count

Shane Breckon Updated

If your Motorcentral account is locked due to multiple incorrect login attempts within a short period, you will need to reset the failed login count to access your account again.

Resetting failed login count as an administrator

  1. In the main window, go to Tools > Users.
  2. Right-click anywhere in the User Settings list.

  3. Select Reset Failed Login Count from the context menu.
  4. Confirm the reset when prompted.

Once the reset is complete, you or the affected user can attempt to log in again from any computer.

Other options

  • Wait 24 hours for the lock to automatically lift, then try logging in again.
  • Contact the Motorcentral Support Team during business hours for assistance.
  • Ask another user with User Management rights who is currently logged in to perform the reset for you.
  • The 24-hour lock helps protect your account from unauthorised access.
  • Only users with appropriate permissions can reset failed login counts.
  • Always ensure your login credentials are correct to avoid account lockout.
