Traders have a number of responsibilities under the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003 (MVSA) including being registered on the Motor Vehicle Traders Register (MVTR).

Registration lasts for 12 months at a time and means you must renew your Registration annually if you intend to continue as a trader. Failing to do so will result in your registration expiring at which stage you will need to re-apply for a new Trader Number. 

Motorcentral can assist with reminding you when your renewal is due via the Motorcentral Notifications system as long as you have entered an Trader Number against each dealership.

Configuring your Motorcentral account

Once you have completed the registration process and been allocated a Trader Number you can configure your Motorcentral products to use that Trader Number by contacting the Motorcentral Support team.

You only need to contact us if you have been allocated a new Trader Number or when you register for the first time.
