Trade Me export warnings are set up as a guide for you to spot warnings on your vehicles that could potentially be causing any upload/processing delays on your Trade Me Listings.
These are just warnings, they are not errors, so we will still send all vehicle information through in every export to Trade Me, and the warnings will be manually fixed on Trade Me’s end.
But, if you want to make sure your listings go up as soon as possible it is best to try and tidy up vehicles that display warnings.
Step 1: You will find your Trade Me Export warnings only on the Trade Me Motors (Dealerbase/Autobase) export option.
It will give you a count of your warnings in red text. In this screenshot there are 3 warnings:
Step 2: To view and fix the vehicles that have warnings click View…
Step 3: Vehicles with warnings will have a yellow warning icon in the right hand column, hover over icon to see what the warning is for
Step 4: To fix the warning double click to open the vehicle > a prompt will display with the warning > select 'OK'
In this example the listing model ‘Caldina 4WD Z’ is not a valid Trade Me model.
Step 5: Go to where the vehicle information needs correcting
Step 6: Adjust the field to clear the warning
Using the same example as above, the valid Model for Toyota is ‘Caldina’ so ‘4WD Z’ will need to go in the Variant field.
Note: If you are not sure what the valid Trade Me field is, you can go to www.trademe.co.nz/motors and use their vehicle search as a reference.
For example, you can choose the Make e.g. Toyota, and this will give you a list of the valid Models:
And the same for a list of valid Body Styles etc.
Step 8: Once you 'Save & Close' the vehicle, the yellow warning icon will disappear
