Please be aware that after the 1st October 2010 you will have the ability to select either the old or new GST rates when entering any currency value that has a GST component. More info available below.
Multi-Currency, Multi-Tax Capability
Motorcentral is capable of storing numerical values — such as expenses — in different currencies and with different tax types. This means you can enter values exactly as they are represented to you (eg in Japanese Yen, with or without GST, zero rated goods etc), and then let Motorcentral take care of the conversion to your local currency as well as calculating and combining different tax rates.
Identifying a Currency field
You can identify a currency field if it has a symbol beside it.
Entering a Value
All currency values are made up of 3 components — the currency, the value and the tax type.

All currency values are made up of 3 components
To enter a value, type directly into the input field adding each component in order. Firstly, type a letter to represent the currency, then the value (including up to two decimal places), and finally a letter for the tax type.
For example, to enter NZ$100.50 incl, simply type n100.50i. Tabbing off the currency field will then convert your entry into a currency value, confirming you have entered it correctly.
