This article will guide you through the steps to set up your email account on your Android mobile device.
Before you begin, please make sure you have your email address, password, incoming mail server name (IMAP), and outgoing mail server name (SMTP) handy, which you can obtain from Motorcentral support.
Use automatic setup (recommended)
In most cases, your phone can configure everything for you automatically:
- Open the Gmail or Mail app on your Android phone
- Tap Add account
- Select Other
- Enter your full email address and password
- Follow the on-screen prompts
If your email app can't detect the settings automatically, follow the steps below to set it up manually.
Manual setup instructions
Use these settings if prompted to enter them manually:
Incoming mail (IMAP)
- IMAP server: mail.hostedemail.com
- Security type: SSL
- Port: 993
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
- SMTP server: mail.hostedemail.com
- Security type: SSL
- Port: 465
- Authentication required: Yes
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
Finish and sign in
Once entered, tap Sign in. Your email account should now be added to your device.
