How to setup your email account on Outlook

Before completing these steps, please ensure you have obtained your email address, password, incoming mail server name (IMAP), and outgoing mail server name (SMTP) from our Support Team.

 

Step 1: File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles

**If you do not have the Manage Profiles option select Account Settings.

Step 2: Click New

Step 3: Select Manual setup or additional server types > Next

Step 4: Select POP or IMAP > Next

Step 5: Enter your account details given to you by the Support Team 

  • Email address
  • Account Type: IMAP
  • Incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) mail server
  • Username (full email address)
  • Password

Step 6: Click More Settings

Outgoing Server tab > Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Step 7: Click Advanced tab

Use the following type of encrypted connection: Set both drop down boxes to SSL

Use the following server ports:

  • Incoming Server (IMAP): 993
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465

Click OK

Step 8: You will be taken back to the Account Settings window > Click Next

Your account will now test and verify the settings you have entered. Once this is complete, click Close > Next > Finish

Note: If the account verification fails, double check the account information you have entered during steps 5 -7 is correct.
